Talha Memon, MD Sleep Specialist

Introduction :

Dr. Memon is originally from New York City. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the New York Institute of Technology. He subsequently completed his medical school at the American University of Antigua School of Medicine. Dr. Memon moved to California in 2012 and started his Family Medicine Residency. He completed his FM residency at the University of California, Riverside at Riverside University Hospital.

During his time in residency, he realized how prevalent sleep disorders were. Many patients complained of sleep-related issues during primary care visits. His interest in the field grew as he completed his Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Memon completed a 2-week elective at Stanford University during his residency and subsequently decided to apply for a fellowship. In 2015 he moved to Ann Arbor, MI and completed a specialty fellowship training in Sleep Medicine at the University of Michigan. Dr. Memon frequently addresses many sleep complaints including (but not limited to); sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, parasomnias (including sleep walking and dream enactment behaviors) and circadian rhythm disorders.

He sees both adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Memon enjoys Academic Medicine. He currently gives lectures at Temecula Valley Hospital, Loma Linda University Medical Center (Murrieta) and Riverside University Hospital to Resident Physicians on Sleep Medicine. He serves as faculty for various prestigious programs around the nation including Yale University School of Medicine and Loma Linda University (Murrieta) Family Medicine Residency. Previous students to have trained under him have gone onto various programs including UCLA, UC Davis and Stanford University to specialize in Sleep Medicine. He has won numerous Research Awards, including first prize in California Academy of Family Medicine, 2nd prize at Michigan Academy of Sleep Medicine and Researcher of the Year Award at UCR Family Medicine Residency.

Dr. Memon enjoys traveling and watching/playing sports.
